The meqam Nahawand or Nihavent used in Arabic and Turkish music also has a Kurdish name.

It is not correct musicology. Kurdish people have to be objective here and not just try and write an article that seems to emphasise nationlist tendencies. Please see sources [1] for correct information on Ottoman classical music

I agree with the removal of the paragraph. There is an improper use of musical terms. Furthermore, the source originally provided is not a 'theory' in the normal sense of the word. This argument is as cogent as saying there is no Sahara Desert because there is no country called 'Sahara Desert'. Kurdistan is a region... a geographical entity. Kurdistan exists--not as a separate state, but as a geographical region. Svyatoslav 19:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
